Customer: A wonderful Greek mother in Las Vegas, Nevada, who
regaled me with tales of her artist father. Note the Orca in
the depths looking up toward the ancient Greek sailing ship.
Note also how the sky, painted on the ceiling wraps down onto
the upper walls of the room as a border, and how the entire artwork
is pinstriped in white all the way around the room. I almost always
"frame" my murals, and my murals are almost always environments
to stand within. This mural limits its space to one wall, the
ceiling, and a small border on the upper walls. Thus there is
strategic planning for the furniture, framed pictures, a monitor,
and calm flat paint on the other walls that balance the mural
and act as a color complement.
